S.Dot Gallery is pleased to present "Satisfactory: artworks by students at The Ohio State University"

Welcome to the Satisfactory!    As Ohio State students, there is an immense amount of pressure that is put on us as the future of the workforce.  To combat this, students have found a million different ways to destress within their daily schedule, whether it be a physical or mental outlet.  One way that I have found to distract myself is through technology.  Scrolling on social media sites, online window shopping, or playing video games are all forms of distraction from the impending doom that is midterm season.  I have found myself scrolling for hours on the social media accounts of artists mixing paints, frosting cakes, carving bars of smooth soap or fine wood, mixing slime, creating pancake art, forming pottery, and several other oddly satisfying phenomena.  These mundane tasks that are strangely therapeutic to watch.  Thus, I have created the Satisfactory.  Not only do I hope that these pieces are aesthetically pleasing for those who see but I’m hoping that the OSU students that I enlist will find themselves de-stressed after creating these tiny pieces of art.

"Huge thank you to Stephanie for this amazingly fun opportunity at S. Dot. This vibrantly colored show has brought me and my friends at OSU much needed stress relief and, of course, satisfaction. Even amidst midterm season, there is always time for art and creativity."
